Puja Committess attract visitors through internet and MMS. - 22nd Oct 2007

 

This year, Durga Puja Societies and committees, here are using internet and MMS ( Mass Mobile Service ) to attract visitors to pandals and accept donations. They have created puja websites and are running 'alert service' to member and devotees every morning about the day's events and route map of pandals. E-mail is being used to send photographs and other puja-related information, while internet banking is being used to accept donations in foreign currency fron overseas Indians. "We are usning technology to reach out to devotees. Out website www.banglarparampara.org and our SMS servie ( Durga Puja ) provide members and other devotees with all updates, news, photographs and more," saild Sunil Guha, president of DLF city Durga Puja & Bengali Cultural Society.
